Himalaya Yatra is Non-Profit, Non-Government Organization registered under the authority of the Nepalese government, formed in 2008 with the simple intention to assist people to make a lasting difference of Singla, a small village in the Manaslu Area of Nepal.

Singla Village is located in the high Himalayas at a height of 2400 m in the state of Gorkha, North-West of Kathmandu. As it falls in a very remote region, there is no road access, no hospitals or health posts. There is a small basic primary school in Singla with only 3 teachers for over 190 children who attend this school.

Singla village is still poor and backward in the field of education. Due to lack of funding the government has only sent three teachers for over 190 children. Classrooms are unorganized and children of mixed ages have to study together which make it difficult for the teachers to teach and students to learn. So, Our (Himalaya Yatra) aim is to increase the Classrooms and Class (Grade) upto 7 at Singla Primary School, to establish a Health Post at Singla & provide scholarship for Orphans & Talent students for higher education.
